West Swindon Parish Council

West Swindon Parish Council has received Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding from Swindon Borough Council.  This payment is from property developers who have contributed to community infrastructure.

The Parish Council must use the  CIL receipts passed to it in accordance with regulation 59A or 59B to support the development of  the local council's area, or any part of that area, by funding-- (a)     the provision, improvement, replacement, operation or maintenance of infrastructure; or

(b)     anything else that is concerned with addressing the demands that development places on an area.'

West Swindon Parish Council received £4383.83 from Swindon Borough Council in 2017-18 and £6069.00 in 2018-19.

The Parish Council has used this funding to contribute to an upgrade of Claypits play area, off Cartwright Drive.  The upgrade has included new bark, fence repairs and new equipment in the youth part of the play area.
