The new draft Swindon Borough Local Plan has been out for Regulation 18 consultation (the first statutory stage of consultation in the development process), for a few weeks now and will be ending on Monday 13th October 2025. Don't miss out on your chance to add your comments on SBC's portal or to attend one of the engagement sessions.
The emerging Swindon Borough Local Plan will guide the future growth and development of the Borough up to 2043, with a wider strategic vision to 2055. On adoption, the Local Plan to 2043 will set the strategic vision for housing, employment, infrastructure, transport, and the environment to support sustainable growth that meets the needs of residents, businesses and the community.
The new Local Plan to 2043 can be viewed on the Council’s website at www.swindon.gov.uk/newlocalplan and comments should be submitted using the Council’s engagement portal. Hard copies of the Plan are available to view at Swindon Borough Council operated libraries and at the Civic Reception of the Council offices.
