The play area is located on open space by Shaw Ridge Primary School and is also accessible by a short walk from Ridge Green, Denbeck Wood and Frampton Close.

The play area is fully enclosed and has a rubber surface.

Equipment includes play panels, spring chicken, spring car, 2 cradle swings, junior multi-play frame with small slide, spinning pole, supernova, senior multi-play with slide and an activity trail.

There is also a wooden bench.
